![]() Despite that, I must say that Vairamuthu does fit the lyrics mighty well in most places. In Kaattu sirukki, Anuradha Sriram does a brave job of replacing Rekha Bharadwaj and even goes the extra level by spontaneously improvising, but the retro-fitting of lyrics shows in places like, ‘ Yaar kaattu sirikku ivo‘. Veera (Beera) is the least Tamil sounding song of all, but Mustafa Kataone’s African gibberish (it may have some real meaning in African, however!) assumes new meaning as if it’s in Tamil – almost like him singing, ‘Podangoyyan, appan…something’! Similarly, that ‘dan dan danaka’ is very T.Rajendar’ish! ![]() Considering I’m already adequately impressed with Raavan, this is merely a set of random thoughts.
